Happen to be at the theme at the anti-cut protest at sotheby’s contemporary evening slae, Mia and I got kicked out because we look like we were part of the protester. As soon as they shut the back door at us we burst into laugh. wtf !? I later got back in to pick up my coats and we got investgate again, they said: please leave us your details so we can sent you an formal appology. hahahahaha, wtf !? As if.

I later saw images of protester (arts against cuts) outsiude the auction house holding boards like ”I like money on the wall” or “12Ms can pay for xxx teachers”. I have never been a fan of protests and riot. I am not convinced with their attentions. It arouse the public awearness yes but missing the point. Especially in this occasion, art auction house. Why protest against your own supporter (people with in the art, just the vaey different end)? The protesters does not have any prove that the investers at the theme does not care about education, does want the fee cut and they difinetely does not just hang the art(money) on the wall. I found it insalting and lack of depth to make up the turth about what they(the rich) are. Protest against auction is like saying art education is a waste of money, I really just don’t get it. Capitalise the respect and value of an art work is exactly like educating art. Both rediculars but definetly needed at this point of the history. 

Saying that, I do care alot about the cut and the following up. As my degree is very much influenced by it. It’s just I still don’t get the power of protest. It was an amazing night. When the protesters left the room, the “rich” were cheering and clapping like gradma watching grandson having fun, got back to their job, great fun. A refreshing suprise since my pause at the art college. Since my Art business course started. So glad I was with Mia, someone who gets the art and the fun of it. ok an hour late for my lecture bye
