Got in to British designers show room, invite-less, to say hi to Shona who looked stunning in J JS Lee AW 2011. The Paris fashion week seemed so serious, whereas I was so lost. Jon and I decided to take our holiday more serious than wanting to have a peek at Paris a Mode. I showed my business card as they asked to the show room staff, the business card from Choya’s Hung factory. Mistake! haha, fashion alarm went off and I ended up getting kicked out by all the stares. Here is a blogger’s text to sum up how I felt “who am I? who are you?”.
I understand the industry needs to be protected from general public as we are in the time where everyone wants a piece of fashion. Well as one of them myself (on and off) I’m very happy with what is available to me, just keep having fun and be inspired. The biggest attraction of the fashion theme to me are the ultra self driven designers, the determination, and the way to make things happen for themselves. The creativities burst into the world like how all artists inspire me. I learnt 2 chinese vocabulary today: 入世 & 出世, they directly translate into ‘in world’ & ‘out world’. The fashion designers are the bursts ‘in world’ where I think the artists are the bursts ‘out world’. And every time I meet & speak to one, a person that translates their vision with outer materials, it makes me see the world so much richer.
Ok i’m mumbling on again.
Here’s the few snaps of Simone’s A/W 2011 collections. Continuing her famous talents of recreating classy items that are so hip in women’s wear in recent years, such as tailoring jackets and oxford shoes. Injecting the chicest contemporary sexiness for young women, she just keeps creating ultimate confident-suit for intelligent women who are happy to be seen weird at times.

Oh and those wedges are just my dreams come true.
Viktor & Rolf  AW 2011. That make up made me laugh, which is a good thing. Maybe it’s time to use up my red make up that I bought 5 years.

Gareth Pugh Fall/Winter 2011/2012

Just now I tried to look at the design without the extremely successful commercial exercises (gaga and online broad casting) which, don’t get me wrong, I believe is very important. Picked up a few thing I adore. And realise I have been wearing things like that already, shirts under mesh body, holds up under tights and so on. I guess it’s all down to styling. Who is designing for Mugler now anyways?
I hope Gualtier will have a come back like this someday soon. Not to change the head designer, Gualtier himself, but wait for the right moment to relaunch. Like the moment now is great for Mugler’s style alian, glaxy, queen bees, sci-fi trend in visual (arts, media and fashion) culture. Oh wait maybe Gaultier had his moment, the moment of drag, contemporary dance, curvy women and fetishes seem so past in the visual culture trend…
Hum, i’m just mumbling on…
