Guys, I need to tell you about this Italian place at Battersea. The Fresh Pasta Restaurant. We stumble across it and decide to sit down for a coffee. We ended up having 2 course lunch.
I ordered raw beef, it was so good though it costs £9.xx as a starter. Jonjon’s spaghetti was so fresh and tasty that I decide to order one too, even tho it cost £14.xx.
Here’s the high light, I was being difficult customers (as always according to my friends) I sent back a dish because i miss understood the menu. The waitress was very helpful and changed the dish for me. Everything was perfect.
The biggest high light was, when the bill came, IT WAS THE HALF PRICE DAY. 3 starters, 2 mains + 2 coffees come to £25 altogether. The menu is simple and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, beautiful ingredients. The raw beef beautiful! The pesto so fresh!! I will quite comfortablely say it could be the best italian i’ve had in London.
I wonder why the restaurant did not advertise it at all about the 4 days a week half price anywhere on the menu, with the waiters. I don’t know what is this surprise strategy about, but it absolutely made our day.
half price day is Mon,Tue,Sat,Sun. Please do pay a visit guys, amazing food great service for great value that they don’t advertise.

Have been watching many competitive cookery programs lately, there’s always this one guy who take cooking in an avant garde approach. Many of them say they are hoping to make the dinner think. places that i’ve been to that take this approach with food have never work for me. I’ve never been able to look beyond its decorations. that’s the line between genius and pretentious i guess. But all I can do is to believe in restaurant reviews and go and try the next one (with in my budget). what does it take to understand the new food. good food and art of food.
This is probably how contemporary art is approaching people. why do they not look nice. what is it suppose to do. should i like it. shouldn’t it just be a joy activities… The shared questions in new era of art and food. craving for more experiences.
